Major tourist attraction of the Florence city is the Piazza della Signoria. It is the heart of momentous centre and here open air sculpture exhibition is done for tourists.

As Florence is positioned beside a river basin, encroached by hills at south and Apennines in north, these factors largely affect its climate. During summer time the city behaves like a cooker as humidity and heat soar. Perhaps the worst time to be in Florence is at the end of August and the month of July. During this part of the year you not get even a single whisper of air. Temperature may also go up to 31 degree Celsius. Rarely if you are very lucky then you can enjoy the glimpse of thunderstorm. Winter, is cool and wet. It is a soothing period in the Florence region as per as climate is concerned. Average temperature in January ranges between 1 degree to 10 degree Celsius; snowfall is a rare case.
